Hi! I’m Danielle, the artist behind So Gay Crochet. Growing up in the 90s/00s, hearing the phrase “SoOOoo Gay” was a way to bully babes into conforming to the status quo, ew. SGC is a rebrand, letting everything we were told to hide be out and proud.

Before making my own clothing, big-box shopping made me feel like my body and style weren’t welcome. Crochet has become a source of empowerment & self-love, as I can now make clothing that celebrates my body & allows my creativity to flow through fashion.
